These regular nursery outings are usually linked to the topics being covered. Each parent/carer will be asked to sign a consent form giving permission for their child to go on the outing and suitable transport arrangements will be made. Many visitors are invited to talk to the children, these have included:
These events offer important enjoyable and educational opportunities.
We apply for grants and use the proceeds from fundraising to allow all pre-school children to attend a course of swimming lessons, which are enjoyable and confidence-boosting, as well as being an important part of their safety education. Music Therapy is always very successful because of the interactive nature of the sessions and the children are fascinated by the exploration of music from around the world.
Most years, the nursery holds a Summer Fun Day, open to all children and parents which is full of exciting activities and gives the children opportunities to try out new experiences. Lastly, no nursery would be complete without a very special visitor at Christmas time…
